Amazon.com: Jim Carrey is back in top form after his disastrous outing in The Cable Guy. As a lawyer who becomes physically unable to tell a lie for 24 hours after his son makes a magical birthday wish, Carrey learns a few brutal truths about the real meaning of life. There is very little plot, but Carrey's rubbery contortions and slapstick trickery provide just enough humor to keep you interested in this breezy bit of escapism. Not aided in this film by pets or animation, Carrey manages to do amazing and unique things with very simple props. He is also more in control of his acting than before. He is still over the top, but remains believable in some of the lower-energy scenes. An added plus is that the comedy is not as coarse as we've come to expect from him. --Rochelle O'Gorman

Rating: - Liar Liar Pants On Fire!
This review is for the HD DVD version:
Liar Liar is my favorite Jim Carrey film, sure his other films are funny but this is a mature comedy for adults.Jim Carrey is a genius at physical comedy and this film shows off his talent. My favorite scene is where Samantha introduces Jim Carrey to the firm's board of directors,I still bust a gut when he slaps the toupe on the wall.
The picture quality on the HD DVD is slightly grainy but the color and contrast are excellent. The HD DVD also has lots ... Read More
Rating: - Still Fun To Watch!
Like Dumb and Dumber, this movie is still funny and fun to watch. While not as masterful as Dumb and Dumber, Liar Liar is a great comedy to own. I popped this in because my 5 year old daughter LOVES Bruce Almighty, so we have been going through the Jim Carrey classics. He is her favorite actor and I can't blame her. The guy is a riot! I think it's great that I can now enjoy Jim Carrey movies with my child and we are both highly entertained. Now I'd just like to see him get back to the over the top antics ... Read More

Rating: - Funny movie
Funny movie as usual from Jim Carrey. Just what a person needs, a good laugh.
Rating: - Miles ahead of those kid movies, The Mask and its sloppy seconds.
Jim Carrey once again works His charming magic onto us in Liar, Liar. He plays a businessman in this title and lets his son down time and time again. His birthday party, school-related affairs and so on.
But at His birthday party the son actually wishes for His father to stop lying all the time before blowing out the candles... and it WORKS.
Jim Carrey is thrown into a frenzy and instead of gritting His teeth and telling His female co-worker her face or clothing and such look fine, He ... Read More
